Bret Ferrell is the managing partner and clinical director of Bay State Physical Therapy in Beverly. Prior to opening the Beverly clinic in 2009, Bret was the clinical manager of Bay State Physical Therapy in Weymouth.
Bret specializes in a hands on approach to treatment of injuries to the spine and extremities. Using spine and extremity joint mobilization techniques along with incorporating gym exercise programs has allowed Bret’s patients to achieve maximum benefit from their rehabilitation. His experience playing soccer on the local and state levels has fueled his passion for sports medicine and helping all of his patients return to function. Bret also enjoys giving community lectures on a wide variety of topics including: management of low back pain, ACL prevention in the adolescent athlete and shoulder rehabilitation of the throwing athlete.
Bret sees patients in the Beverly clinic Wednesday and Friday morning as well as Tuesday and Thursday Evenings.
Bret is married and has a young daughter. Along with spending time with his family, Bret enjoys playing basketball and following local sports.
Lauryn specializes in Sports Medicine and working with knee and shoulder injuries. A former gymnast for 20 years, she enjoys working with athletes helping them return to their sport. Lauryn’s treatment approach includes the combination of manual therapy and functional exercise to help her patients return to the activities they love.
Lauryn sees patients in the Beverly clinic Monday-Thursdays.
Lauryn coaches gymnastics for the North Shore YMCA Wildcats team and is the varsity head coach of the Beverly High School team who went undefeated 9-0 and was conference champions in 2011. Lauryn was voted Gymnastics Coach of the Year by the Salem Evening News in 2011. She is involved in the community through the local high school and the YMCA. Lauryn enjoys staying active and working out.
Michael specializes in Sports Medicine and Aquatic Therapy. He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Physiology at the University of New Hampshire and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree at the University o fMassachusetts Lowell. Michael continues to be active and enjoys playing a wide variety of sports. He uses his athletic background and a combination of manual therapy techniques along with therapeutic exercises in order to restore function and enable patients to return to the activities they love.

Michael continues to be active and plays in a hockey league at HockeyTown. He enjoys spending time with his family and girlfriend.
Andy has a specialty in sports medicine and manual therapy. He has experience treating MLB and NFL players in their return to sport. He treats a wide array of patients but has a specialty with pre and post op shoulder patients and with those with knee and low back dysfunction.
Andy sees patients in our Beverly clinic Monday through Friday and every other Saturday.
Andy enjoys being a weekend warrior in sports, supporting our local sports teams and listening to live music. Andy is very involved in strength and conditioning and tries to practice what he preaches.
